Articles: Zikula 1.2.1 Release announcement
We are proud to announce the release of Zikula 1.2.1 which solves a few small issues especially for time/date display in non-English language sites. For full details see the changelog. If you haven't already upgraded to Zikula 1.2.0 you can also upgrade straight to this version from 1.1.x.

If you are upgrading from Zikula 1.1.2 or 1.2.0:
1) Backup everything
2) Copy over the files
3) run upgrade.php

Let me get this straight. According to the changelog. 1.2.x supports both define and gettext modules?? I thought it only supported gettext.
Can anyone clarify?

a module can use defines or gettext but you can use define based modules and gettext based ones together (for example the latest pprofile module(gettext) and dizkus (defines))

Yippee!! I was waiting to upgrade because I thought I needed to upgrade my very large module to gettext... but if I can go ahead and upgrade eventually that is really good news! Thanks for letting us know!

Make sure that the lang defines are converted to UTF8 (especially for the non-english speakers). There are forum topics about converting those files.

Of course you can upgrade from 1.0.0 - but with some intermediary steps: I am not totally sure if that is the right order. But update to 1.0.3, then to 1.1.2 and then to 1.2.1.
