I did some looking into more info on trackback and here are the sites I've found.
Some general guides as to what trackback is... http://www.cruftbox.…docs/trackback.html and http://www.movablety…rackback/beginners/
A guide for trackback implementation in programs aside from Moveable Type... http://www.movablety…/tb-standalone.html
Now not being a technically minded individual I don't really know how to bring all of this together into Postnuke (or even if its possible to do so) but I thought this might help some of you if there is any real interest in building a trackback module for Postnuke.... -

I'd second the request for someone to develop a PostNuke trackback plugin. It would be extremely useful for those of us using PostNuke primarily as a blogging tool, and would be a great way to lure thousands of people using other blogging tools into the PostNuke community.
If I had the expertise, I'd gladly do it myself. If any of you module developer type folks wants to take this on, I'll be happy to help out in any way I can. -

There is a trackback module available in Xaraya, AFAIK. Not sure what the status of it is, but you may be able to reverse-engineer it for PostNuke. -

Shouldn't be too hard to do. Kind of interesting. Probably easier to do in Xaraya using whatever module hooks started as... since we need to hook it into News or whatever. Need to use it with other trackback enabled systems...
I am too overloaded to do it right now unless it was a paying gig. Or I could help someone else implement it... -

trackback, hell yes. I'd be glad to beta-test anything anyone puts out. -

I'm also very interested in more 'blogging' features for PN, as stated in http://forums.postnuke.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=35082&highlight=trackback
For any coders here, I just found this: http://www.jannis.to/programming/trackback.html, apparently a trackback function in PHP. Don't know how it can be converted to a PN module or something.
There's also this for starters: http://www.rokus.net/article12.html
By the way, I thing trackback should be enabled both ways, i.e., adding a trackback option to each PN story, and the ability to notify other trackback-enabled weblogs that I'm linking to them.
Finally, the autoping feature (for blog directories such as Weblogs.com) would also be much welcome.
