yes - is the short answer - there are wack loads of forum posts on permissions - basicly you want to start off by deciding which modules you want to give them permission to edit - then set up a group - say subadmin and then set the permissions in permissions in the admin to allow them to admin those modules and deny access to the others - when you have decided and have a few more specific how-to then search the forum - lots of topics - also the support.postnuke.com has a Wiki section which will walk you through some of the basics. -

Thanks, don't know why, but it never occured to me that I can create a sub-admin group and give them access to certain admin menu items. I'm not sure how this is going to work right now, but at least I have something to try. :)

Uff, I was searching this type of topic by days! :(
tudorbob: Iīve the following error. I created the SubAdmin group, give the admin permissions and blocked the access to the admin panel because I want them to edit news, comments and everything but donīt want to let them change config settings.
But when they edit a news and submit, they (SubAdmins) are redirected INSIDE the admin panel.
How can I correct this, or hide some links in the admin, may I can let the administrate Web Link and Polls, but nothing else.
IMPORTANT: They must be able to edit news, comments and everything in the public site!
Admins .* .* Administrate
Sub-Admins Menublock:: Main Menu:(Administration)|Incoming: Ninguno (Ninguno means nothing)
Sub-Admins .* .* Administrate
Thanks for your time to everyone who helps! :D :D -

There are a number of tutorials out there that discuss the difference between absolute and relative urls - but to a layman like myself it sounds like party talk - basicly you are just hiding your admin - not preventing access - what you need to do is to give access permission to admin for comments, edit story etc. but what you have done is hide the link - so anyone who is in your subgroup who know anything about ostnuke can find it. Here is a picture of my permissions setup for a number of groups with different access permissions. Hope it helps. Some fields are duplicated because they need to be like web links - one to give access and one to view the links. Some also require admin permission while others you can get away with add or edit permission.
