HTMLAREA  Bottom

  • Just wondering if anybody new how to get HTMLAREA to work in postnuke instead of the standard wysiwig editor in 0.7.2.3
  • I also need a good WYSIWYG editor for PN. I want to integrate it into Content Express, as well as all over the core PostNuke framework.

I never got the Editor that comes with PN to work. I've heard it is because I'm running IE6 plus all the security updates and it's these security updates that prevent it from working.

In relation to Content Express [which is a great product] but the editor [ie2] is too buggy to use. We're not confident in giving CE to clients without a good, working editor.

That lead me to htmlEditor. Looks great and it's new alpha version also works with Mozilla [bonus!!! :)] . Problem is, I can't seem to get it working. I've followed the instructions and implemented it in the Submit_News module.

What happens is that the TextAreas [storytext] and [bodytext] just dissapear. Very confusing.

If anyone got this working, I'd love to know how as it looks like a great editor.

I've tried RTEMulti also but this editor doesn't save the text in the articles.

  • I h#use IE6 and PN0.7.2.3 and the editor works fine - so does RTE-Multi - i use RTE-Multi for the image upload - but i do not like the way that i have to have the general activation switched on to get it in the EZCMS text areas - otherwise it is great - prefer if it didnt activate every text area
But does work - check you server for safe mode and then check the installation - but i have no problem with either
