I'm currently working on porting over the vWar system (some of you may be familiar with it) to a PostNuke module and blocks, and I'm not really able to get very far, simply because I'm not sure if I completely understand the fundamental differences that have emerged since the codebase was forked.
I know that a lot of people would be very interested in obtaining vWar in a PostNuke environment, and I would like to get it up and working relatively quickly.
If there's documentation on this subject, then please accept my apologies for a redundant post and kindly point me in the direction of those files.
I'd like to know what kind of basic and common issues there are in porting modules/blocks from PHP-nuke to postnuke. Is there any kind of general set of rules that are helpful in such a task? How easy is it to do, in the end? Is it even possible with some modules or systems? I have moderate PHP knowledge and am learning volumes as I go, but I would like to be more prepared before I go in and REALLY start splicing together new code.
If there are other devs who would be willing to contribute to such a project, please also reply and let me know - I would be willing to start a community to work on this very project if there is interest.
