  • I'm not sure if this is the proper place to submit my topic, however its probably going to get the most traffic.

    Personaly I dabble in site design myself, and would like to be able to create my own postnuke 7.1 themes. I'm simply not satisfied with the quality of the free ones, and I'm not spending 30 dollars on "commercial themes" that suck just as hard.

    I was wondering if theres a resourse or readme file that I don't know about that would help me understand the basics of post nuke theme designing.

    Thanks in advance,
    Jay

  • you site looks good , I have also been playing with themes and one place i came across was http://www.themecentral.com/ a lot of the free themes from here contain the photoshop templates so you can modify them to suit yourself easily. It also gives you some idea of how the theme is put together.

    jay i would love to see a information-space with all the stuff for the pnBASICS: BY THE WAY: there is a big thread 780 reads and many comments bout the topic-THEME TUTORIAL!

    more in general:
    We need this shared information space that supports all the requests and the work (and learn) action. If we have a shared information space we would have a great benefit: We can use this as a base from which to engage in dialogue with all participants. This would be a way to support conversations with others to share insights, interpretations and perspectives gained so far on creating themes (and so on).

    what do you think? Ideas, suggestions, comments.

    Back to the themes: unfortunatley we ve got
    not too much places with very detailed infos at the moment; The good docs are spread all over the world! i found some nice on here;

    http://postnuke.lottasophie.de - very well and in depth-descriptions for theme-design:

    unfortunatley in german at the moment - but i am willing to translate all that stuff! So
    we can gather all in a english respository! THE VISON of a global (acessible) informations-space
    is very inspiring;
