I hope that was specific enough, and I hope that I'm posting this in the right place.

I've noticed that some themes have links/menus running across the top (for example this site has Your Account | Bookmarks | Log Out) I want to edit the menu items running across the top of my theme. How do I change this?

Now, let me re-iterate, I am a newbie, just starting to get my feet wet, so please I need someone to hold my hand here and be specific. Tell me what to change and where to find the files, please? :|

You had no way of knowing at this point, but this is a "Themes" issue so the "right" forum would be "Core Themes & Design" if you are asking about one of the themes in your basic PN package, (Extra-Lite, PostNuke, PostNukeBlue, PostNukeSilver, or SeaBreeze). If not a "Core Theme" then "Third Party Themes & Design" would be the right place to ask. (We all know this is "clear as mud" to someone just getting started with PostNuke, so don't worry too much about it - but it does help speed response time when the users try to use the "right" forum). :)

Usually there is either a document, or an "indicator" you can find in the specific theme directory. For instance, in the case of the PostNuke theme you will find:
    /themes/PostNuke/bottom_links.php
    /themes/PostNuke/top_links.php
Those are the "indicators"... If you then go to:
    /themes/PostNuke/lang/eng/global.php

You can edit the content of that file to change the both the link "names" as displayed on your pages, and the URL they will take the user to.[/quote]

I think "MRS Geekster" would frown on us holding hands, but hope this helps! ;)
