  I am trying to modify some of my categories but I am getting this message on some of them. Is there a fix for this? Through phpAdmin?

  I assume that you are trying to add some categories and subcategories to the news module.
  
  All Parent categories you need to make sure that the "Category is a leaf node" is not checked.
  
  Tweaking it in phpMyAdmin I wouldn't recommend as you need to do it the on several database tables

  Actually, I was trying to add a category to my FAQ. What I notice now is that the "Category is a leaf node" box is not present if I access the categories sections throught the FAQ->Create a FAQ . I am now fixing the problem through the Category module itself.
