Content Module Error: There is already another page registered with the supplied permalink URL.  Bottom

  • I have Zikula 1.2.8 and Content 3.2.1. I have recently upgraded from older versions of both. When attempting to create a new page in Content I get the following error:

Error! The action you wanted to perform was not successful for some reason, maybe because of a problem with what you input. Please check and try again.Error! There is already another page registered with the supplied permalink URL.

Any ideas as to why I am seeing this message and what can be done to correct it? Thanks for your help.
  • I also have found this error in my General Settings:

Error! In your permalink settings, the search list and the replacement list for permalink cleansing have a different number of comma-separated elements. If you have 3 elements in the search list then there must be 3 elements in the replacement list.

I do not know if the two are related, but do not understand what this error means. Any help is appreciated.
  • Did you try to purge your permalinks? It might break existing permalinks though...
  • Sure you already done it but just in case, regarding to error message #1, what is your page title?
AFAIK, content permalinks are automaticaly generated from the page title, so if you have an other page with the same title you may receive this message. So add a character to your permalink and check if you also get the error.
    Greetings

  • Yes indeed, you would only get this error mesage if the permalinks are the same. You can let them autogenerate (keep permalink field blank) or fill them in yourselves.

  • I have not purged permalinks (don't know how). I get the error even when I put in a manual permalink name. Normally I just let Content make one up for me.
  • There is already another page registered with the supplied permalink URL
    I have same problem.
    how i solve this issue?

  • Hi, this is not a known problem. Are you writing anything in the permalink field? The message comes when the permalink (or sometimes called slug) of a content page is the same as an already existing page.
