I was looking at the source of a 1.2.7 site that uses the MultiHook module as a replacement for Censor and nothing else.
At the bottom of every page (thousands) all of this is added just above the closing body tag. That's a bunch of hidden divs and even external links. Why is that all there, any way to eliminate it and still get the censor capability?
MultiHook also adds about 10K of CSS and JavaScript to every page load. I didn't realize it was so "heavy".
I tried several times to quote the hidden text here but keopt getting JSON errors, but if you look at the site in my sig and view source you'll see it. I notice that Zikula.org has MultiHook loading but doesn't have this, so maybe it's my configuration is the problem.

I think you have some other problem, because I see no MultiHook stuff in your source.

Which browser were you using? I can see the commented MultiHook stuff with Firefox 4 but not with Internet Explorer 9

Every time I try to quote the source code I'm talking about here with the quote or code tags I get a JSON alert box. So here is a link to a text file with what I see using Firefox view source.

Maybe IE and Chrome respect the
Code
style="display: none
CSS even in the source code.

I always experienced MultiHook to be indeed quite heavy and dont use it now. But maybe I was looking as admin and not as plain user.

It adds it for Admins only, as a Popup to administrate the MultiHook stuff inside the page. That could be Ajax but well, was implemented inline at that time.
Thanks for the info, it's a relief that it doesn't show up for everyone.
Is MultiHook going forward with 1.3 or is there something else to replace it? I just checked GitHub and Cozi and it doesn't look like it's under public development right now.

I guess there will be different alternatives for it on 1.3, we will see.
