Bug in main CSS resulting in improper IE display?  Bottom

  • This isn't a big deal, but just to kill a small bug. Zikula uses the 'legend' tag in the main CSS and it appears that Firefox displays correctly, but Internet Explorer looks like a strike through.

    Internet Explorer:

    Firefox:
    http://www.winsnort.com/data/FF.gif

There has to be a way to fix this, but maybe not.
  • This is only one of the problems with running Zikula. There have been 110 views and not one reply with a solution. This is a global problem happening on all themes that are furnished with Zikula.

Is it possible that it get blown off because is only a minor issue, or possibly because there is no qualified CSS programmer available from the Zikula team to look at it for fixing?

Is this something that I should seek attention outside the Zikula world? There used to be several support sites for Zikula but it looks like we're down to this one site :(
  • If this is an issue with core then you should log a ticket. The forum is not the official place to notify us about bugs.

    Regards,

  • Done.
  • I'd also submit it as a bug where the actual bug exists, IE

  • At this point I don't really think Microsoft will do anything about it. The legend tag has needed patched specifically for IE from IE5-IE9. IMO; I think the tag just needs to go away. Other sites are able to get the legend tag to work with all versions of IE. Take a look at the Durpal new user application. I hit it with IE6, IE8, IE9, and they all displayed the legend correctly.

I'm no programmer so this is all geek to me.
  • Take a look at this.
