Setting Permissions Based on a Category  Bottom

  • Hi,

I've looked at http://community.zik…pic-topic-56272.htm and http://community.zik…art-0.htm#pid260589 and got close but still need help. I have a church web site for which I have 2 Categories: Ministries and Sensitivity. I have the Categories and FAQ module set up to have both a Sensitivity and a Ministry associated with each FAQ. Sensitivity possible values are "Members Only" and "Public". The Ministry possible values are all the ministries of the church, for example Board of Youth, Men's Christian Fellowship, etc. See http://www.gfccnet.org/module-FAQ.html for the current set-up. I'm running Zikula 1.2.4.

I'm trying to set up the site so that any FAQ with a category value of Sensitivity="Members Only" is not shown to unregistered users. I can't get the syntax correct. Is what I'm trying to to possible and, if so, what is the correct permission syntax? I've tried a bunch of permissions settings but what I currently have is:

    Permissions
    Group - Unregistered
    Component - FAQ::Category
    Instance - 10133:/__SYSTEM__/General/Sensitivity/Members Only:/Members Only
    Permission level - No access

    Category registry
    Module: FAQ
    Table: faqanswer
    Property name: Main
    Category: /__SYSTEM__/Modules/FAQ

    Module: FAQ
    Table: faqanswer
    Property name: Sensitivity
    Category: /__SYSTEM__/General/Sensitivity

    Thoughts?
  • Unfortunately category-based permissions are not functional all the times, and I don't know if FAQ is coded to take care of the available schema, but this is a main concern after the release of Zikula 1.3, where the base technology supporting categories needs to be changed to implement this feature morer easily than ATM.

    Greetings
