  • All,

I've a small request from everyone, I would like you to respond to this post after reading it.

I'm slowly starting to turn my attention to things other than the core code since an RC is quite immanent now. I might have become a little out of touch with who is doing what and where in the project and it would be good for everyone to get a fresh overview of what's happening in various quarters of the project.

I'd specifically like to know what you are doing and what responsibilities you have, this goes for administration of the various sites, moderation, module development. Even if you think I might already know, or that it is obvious, please just say anyway so we can be 100% clear. This will help find out who and what areas are inactive, and give a nice overview of everything.

So whatever you do, big or small, hit the REPLY button now and let us all know. If you run a community, code modules, moderate on the forums, evangelise or any other small detail.

    *click*

    Regards,

    Drak

  • My name is Chris Hildebrandt, nicknamed slam here (and wmaster in the German community). I started using Postnuke 11 years ago, and started working on modules and translations shortly after that.

Currently I admin and support the Cozi, support and moderate in the forums here and in the German community, run the #zikula IRC chat, host and admin the zikula.at site (together with the Zikula archive there). I maintain the Zafenio (former PNphpBB2) and the Wikula (former pnWikka) module, and finally do some Zikula promotions and evangelising wherever I can.

    Greetings,
    Chris

  • Hi,

Been using Postnuke/Zikula for about 10 years or so I think. Started out with PN 0.726 or so.

I'm working on Content (zk12x and zk13 version) and News (zk12x and zk13 version) mainly. More people are working on those modules, which is great (thanks carsten, sven, craig, etc). I try to do some work for Mediashare, Formicula. Mainly small bugfixing and getting it to work in zk13.

I try to help out in the forums (international and a bit of german icon_wink ).

I use Zikula on a community Track&Field site that I admin and on our business site (which I hope to get to zk13 fast icon_wink ).

I still want to get the Menus for Menutree package ready for menutree in zk13. With some new menus of course.

I do some testing of Core packages (zk12x and zk13) with the modules I know and occasional Clip testing.

I help Teb in translating stuff into Dutch. Our dutch community site is not very active still.

I'm involved in the discussion on a Media module that should be the successor of the media modules we have now.

I have some first experiences with ModuleStudio, which has a great future IMO.

    That's about it I guess.

    regards,
    Erik

  • I do not write any code. I am more or less a user only (two websites running under 1.2.5). I am testing the 1.3.x together with news and content mainly.

My other activity is the geramn community. A am one of three board members of the german foundation. For this I am preparing next camp zikula in late summer 2011.

Currently I am organzing the activities around a new sponsored media module (Erik already told about). More news about this beginning of March.

So I am more or less one of the small icon_wink

  • I am Craig Heydenburg. I live in the USA. I have been using PostNuke/Zikula since PN .721 (I think). I began mainly as a user and have since become a developer for several projects.

I was the original developer of pnBloodhound (which is extinct). I worked with harry (raider) on pnAddOns website for a while until he moved on. We did some themes and other projects together.

I assisted Simon in the development of the redesign of this site (community et al) and especially the navigation.

I picked up development on PostCalendar about two years ago. I also have DocTastic as a main project. I also have worked on News quite a lot, Banners & Pages - mainly in bringing these last three into 1.3-nativeness.

I have administrative rights on the community, blog and 'home' sites, including moderation on the forums. I also have FTP access and rights to restart the servers. I have commit rights to the zikula-modules/ organization at GitHub.

I am not on the core-devs list, nor do I have core commit rights, but I have submitted several pull-requests that have been accepted. I am a regular tester of the core and multiple other modules, submitting dozens of tickets at various projects - especially the core.

I use Zikula on several sites that I host/create. Most are small businesses or organizations. None are large communities.

I'm sure I've forgotten something... maybe I'll edit this later with more info...
  • I am Robert Gasch, formerly very active core developer, now not-so-active core developer.

I initially authored DBUtil, PNObject, the ObjectLibrary and the Categories module and as such am responsible for adding a year or so to the PostNuke 0.8 timeline icon_smile

I am the author of zWebstore and use Zikula on *all* my customer projects (which by now probably span 50+ sites) and from time to time submit patches to whatever modules I'm using (PageMaster, PostCalendar, etc).

My main interest is to make sure that Zikula remains an efficient and flexible development environment. Currently I'm busy doing all sorts of customer projects; once that dies down I will probably become a more regular core-contributor again.

I try to answer forum questions when I see something that I can help with and hang out here and on the German community site.

    Greetings
    Robert
  • I'm Andreas Krapohl, president of the german Zikula Foundation and Member of the International Zikula Foundation. In previous times i've been a quite active core developer with a focus on security and usability but honestly I've already turned my attention to things other than the core code and nowadays focus the legal and financial stuff for the german community/foundation.

My main interest is to make sure Zikula remains a community driven project.

  • I am Paul Stewart. I have been working on themes for the zk 1.3 line. I suppose I have been using/playing with releases since the .64, Mutant, I think it was. I think I have forgotten more than I know, and I am sure a few folks prefer it that way. icon_evil

I answer what I can here in the forums, and submit bug reports when my arm is twisted, er I mean "when requested;" sometimes I even submit bugs without being asked. icon_cool

  • I would describe myself as a heavy user of Zikula. I have a fairly high profile site for work that pushes the envelope on Pagesetter. Our non-profit organization (scientific society) has standardized our content management on Zikula and have several sites up for various purposes, including a few with a custom membership module that pulls data from our external database. I have a site of my own that I am toying with for social networking, with a content specific custom module as the focus. I am a coder, but don't have near enough time as I'd like to contribute to Zikula. I have adopted the SurveyManager module, would like to clean it up a bit and release it for 1.3, no time frame on that unfortunately.
  • Hey all,

It is me, David Pahl. I have been in hiatus focusing on newer hobbies for a bit... But Zikula is an old favorite for me. I have been lurking around some more recently, as I have had a few requests come up again for some web design.

Okay, hopefully I can make some more time Zikula, again. Because I do miss my roles here.

  • Hi All
I'm Mateo Tibaquirá and my main responsability is the Clip module.

I'm a coder but I also have interest on theming (BlankTheme). I usually help to get third party modules maintained and in this epoch, will help to get them ready for 1.3, and feedback the Core code itself with the module dev needs.

Forum support is also something that I do from time to time.

  • I'm Pawel Preneta and I spend my time mostly (lastly - only) on Core Developement. My nearest plans are also concerned about Core works and help for module devs with new Ajax and JavaScript features.

Beside this I'm author of modules: Menutree (I'm not sure about future of this module - it's now integrated into Core) and OpenSearch and one of admins of polish Zikula community site (not active right now).
But currently I'm focused on Core.

  • Hello,
i am Thanasis Fotis and i am a team member of Zikula.
At the moment i have a lot of work creating a couple of sites with Zikula 1.3 beta so i am testing the core and some modules quite a lot. My main task for this period is mostly bug reporting and fixing. My main interest is the core and usability although many modules get my attention once in a while.
  • I'm Chris Candreva. I run an ISP in New York, and use Zikula more for web sites that clients can edit themselves, rather than community type sites.

I adopted three legacy modules FormsExpress, FEProc, and Wrapper, and plan
    on updating them for 1.3

I've been testing 1.3 when time allows.
