Hi,
I am using 1.1.2 and need some newsletter module which eliminates bouncing email. Previously I have been using pnTresmailer with quite good results, but as you might know it is an old module which does not care about invalid email addresses.
I also tried to install advMailer 2.0 but it only works with 1.2+ versions? I donīt know if I would be better off using it even tough it would work. There is not much information about the features of advMailer.
My question is: Is there any module on the way which solves the very needed newsletter features in Zikula? Something like sendblaster.com would be great inside Zikula if it was web-based.
I will probably upgrade to version 1.3 when possible, but as my sites are news-based it is fundamental to be able to send newsletter and when the subscriptions are more than 5000 one really needs to be able to eliminate bouncing emails. Is something like that on the horizon?

I have tested the Newsletter module. You have to be a user of the site to get mail from the module. This means I canīt use it it as most internet users donīt bother registering as users in various websites. The simplicity of entering only the email in a field on the frontpage is the modern method. I am quit trying to make everyone become a user long time ago.
What I need is a simple module which collects emails, allows me to send HTML mail to everyone and allows me to automatically delete emails which bounce.
The Newsletter module relies on specific plugins and probably works well for those who need to share information in a community. I could use if if It could:
- Import email addresses from cvs file or similiar.
- Send custom HTML mail.
- Delete bouncing subscribers.
- Subscribers would only need to enter email.
