Looking at the SVN for Zikula I notice it's labeled 1.2.5 and the Development tag is missing from the version. I'm assuming that Zikula may be moving from development to being ready for the public?
I have a mirror of my public website on my development server. I have not modified any of the core 1.2.4 files, except the config.php. What I was wondering was;
1) Do I need to just remove the config.php from the latest SVN and then overwrite all my existing 1.2.4 files with the 1.2.5 files?
2) Will I need to run the upgrade script?
TIA...

Running upgrade.php never does a harm, even if it was not needed - so, go for it. And no, never "overwrite" files, instead backup & remove all old files, and play in the new ones before running the upgrade.

I've been unable to find a list of files changed. I'm not comfortable with running an update script if it's not required. Hopfully one of the developers will have a definitive answer to the two questions.
1) Having a development site that has an untouched CORE 1.2.4. Is it acceptable to just overwrite them with the SVN of 1.2.5?
If there is a changed file list, that would be great?
2) Does 1.2.5 require the update script to be ran on 1.2.4?

"Running upgrade.php never does a harm, even if it was not needed." Was clear, right? The upgrade script is testing if and how far it is needed, so better always use it.
The list of changes results from bugs fixed, please consult the Cozi bugtracker for the Core here.
Overwriting is always wrong, because it does not take into account removed files/folders, changes in permissions, and - depending on method of overwriting/operating system - changes with resulting same file size.

Chris

Ok, I was wondering around in the Core/Development Snapshots and found this:
Zikula-1.2.5.build124.patch.zip
It looks like a patch file for 1.2.5. Is this the latest build? Will the patch file always be up to date with the SVN?

Do not install Zikula 1.2.5 on production sites until it is officially released.
