Sorting by 2 Categories within Postcalender Display?  Bottom

  • My website is a local event page, containing different event types in different cities. So I need a calendar that has the possibility to sort not only by 1 categorie but is also capable to sort events within a categorie so that a user gets a nice sorted view. What I need to know is if Postcalender is able to do that. I actually use TimeIt as my calendar, but TimeIt only sorts with 1 categorie.

    My categoriemanagmant is like this:

    Quote

    PostCalendar postcalendar_events Main /__SYSTEM__/Stadt, Gemeinde
    PostCalendar postcalendar_events Second /__SYSTEM__/Veranstaltungstyp

Stadt, Gemeinde holds eg New York and Washington
Veranstaltungstyp holds eg Children, Partys and Politics

What I like to display is this sort of view:

    New York
    Children
    Event
    Event

    Partys
    Event
    Event

    Fairs
    Event
    Event

    Washington
    Fairs
    Event
    Event

    Politics
    Event
    Event

Unfortunately only the Main Category is used for sorting, but no other categorie within. But is there a way with the actual postcalender 620 to sort within sort? Or is this an enhancement in a future version, if yes can you give me a hint for the release date?

  • what view are you wishing this were possible within?
  • Day and Week in List view should be modified, as these are the most used I guess.
All others would be nice to have icon_smile

If you have a look on my website www.rhein-sieg-freizeit.de - I managed what I will present to my visitors at my startpage using the tabblock - a nice example for what this block is useable icon_smile
But if a visitor looks at the Day - he only sees sorted cities but within he has no clue if for example a show is made especially for "children (Kinder)" or "adults (Bühne)" as this cat isn't displayed.
