  Because it's wishing times, I hope we could find in a future News version a hook possibility for editors.
  
  I describe my wish:
  this hook could be use with every modules having a title and a description or an abstract content.
  When we create a new content with the hooked "news" modules, we can have a select button to automatically generate a News.
  For me it will be a usefull function to propagate new content on a site by the news pages and with other tools such as rss connect to an identica or twitter stream.
  Example : using time it, I create a new event. If I'll select "Announce in News", there's automatically a new News with the subject : TimeIt: Event's title (Event's Date)
  description : Events' description + link to TimeIt event's description
  
  Thanks for coder if this idea is useful and there's an issue.

  Sounds like a good idea and certainly worthwhile to look into for News 3.0.

  Interesting topic! I was thinking to request the same functionality for EZComments: a "notification" comment would be auto-generated with each new content item.
  
  The notification comment would not be shown below the new content item but in an EZComments center block at the bottom of the home-page to mimic Facebook's notification feature.
  
  Additionally, as EZComments allows to extend the Profile module with a kind of pin-board (even more so with myProfile), Zikula sites would get some social community functionality with the EZComments center block.
  
  Has anybody played around with EZComments in this way already?
