  Hello zikulans,
  I have two sites running PostNuke .764 , now I’m thinking of a more modern platform.
  Is it Zikula ready for me?
  
  My sites are news related and some catalogs of local businesses.
  Everything is done with Pagesetter and Mediashare. Of course I use EZComments, Bad_Behaviour, Akismet, htmlpages, pnForum….
  
  For a while I’m sniffing around to see is it time for Zikula?
  Now testing 1.2.4….
  News module is great but, there is no image container in it. For every news article you have to upload picture.. what about integrating Mediashare?
  
  Even I’m experienced user of Pagesetter I have difficulties with Pagemaster templates.
  Is it possible to provide some example templates like was on Pagesetter , especially input templates. And again there is no image container integrated!
  
  Should I try 1.3 version or stay with 1.2.x?
  When I will be able to mimic my sites from PostNuke to Zikula?
  
  PostNuke+Pagesetter+Mediashare = Zikula+………

  yes, it is time for zikula!
  
  Most of us have allready migrated. If you wait to long, it becomes more difficult to migrate. But if you are willing to start from scratch, it might be a good idea to wait for 1.3.

  Postnuke+Pagesetter+Mediashare = Zikula+Pagesetter+Mediashare
  
  Go for the upgrade now, while it is still possible. You might want to replace Pagesetter with Pagemaster/Clip later on, and Mediashare with any other gallery, but take care for the core first.

  I'm wiling to start from scratch and will wait for 1.3!
  But...there is no image gallery integrated neither News Or Pagemaster?
  Pagemaster/Clip to fully replace Pagesetter must have image gallery integrated and lots of sample templates!
  
  Can I hope for these features in 1.3?

  Please guys give me some directions.
  I'm starting with Zikula 1.2.4., PageMaster 0.4.2, News 2.6.2.
  Wich module to use for image container?
  Can I achieve Postnuke .764 + Pagesetter functionality with these modules?
  Should I use final versions or go for SVN's ?

  I would start with the latest build of 1.2.5-dev, as it's as stable as 1.2.4, but also includes some important bug fixes.
  
  The image container you will use depends very much on the features you need (e.g. upload by users, permissions, sub galleries, etc.).
  
  Yes, you should easily achieve PN+PS functionality - and even more.

  I need image container to use together with Pagemaster or News?

  As I understand with Xinha you can insert image in the "page teaser text" or "Article body text" but this is not the point.
  I want this picture to be used as thumbnail in the index teaser page for this article.
  Instead of uploading image for every article i want to choose from image gallery and this image to be used as a thumbnail and represents the entire article?

  It is not possible at the moment. Might be, we have something in the future available. In between, you can use Mediashare.

  Hello, maybe you can use the categories and add a parameter with image path.
  All articles from this category Will display picture if your them's template are well designed.
  
  I don't remenber exactly the parameter settings. Make a search in forum with picture+news+categories.
  
  I used it but didn't have access to website now.

  That functionality is intended to display an image for every category you use within news. This is a possibility as well.
