Hi all
We have a zikula based website - www.adbruf.net and our developer is looking to retire. Is there anyone out there that would be interested in doing some freelance development work for us? If so please contact me with your charges etc marketing@adbruf.com.
Thanks
Sarah

You could create an entry on http://zikulapro.com/. At a first glance your site looks neat and up to date, so it seems it should not require major work. That is of course if you would not require major changes in functionality. -

Hi Dits
What I want to do is to change our registration process, as our current system is putting off our customers from becoming a member. I would just like to simplify it so that the username and email address are the same and it doesn't require the verfication email to become a member? Is that do able? I am not a developer so am completely our of my depth.
Thanks
Sarah

Making the username and email address the same (or using the email address in stead of the username to log in) is very simple. Depending on which version you are running this is a functionality that is standard available.
Letting users register without verifying their email address is also a standard option. In that case it is advisable to use a 'spam protection question' in order to not end up with loads of spam registrations. -

OpenID would be a nice idea for that, too. Easy to do in Zikula,
