Extdb, adding a module, caught on pulling from svn  Bottom

  • So I finally have a product I want to share with the world, the quickcheck module. I have gone through the add an extension form and have gotten to the second phase where you add your files. To my joy there is a little pull from the SVN button. I click that, and then navigate through the hierarchy until I have my little folder selected. Here is the path the form says it is going to try....

    quickcheck/trunk

I have it pointing at the Modules directory. I hit submit and.... I get an error. Here it is.

Your package contains the following unallowed directories: Modules
Your Module package does not starts with the /modules folder. Please recheck the content of your package.

So, how do I fix this? You can find my repository in the SVN directory.

    Thanks for any help.

  • I think the problem is that your SVN directory name should be 'modules' not 'Modules'
  • That is what I suspected. How do I change that. Can ya tell I am an SVN noob?
  • Or go for the other way and add a zip package to the extdb, then you can finish the upload to extdb and figure out the directory name change later on. With torrtoisesvn you can do a rename of a folder and then check in the change.

  • I solved it. It was a matter of getting a SVN client that I could log into the repository and change the name. I created a new directory in the repository called modules, moved the quickcheck folder to the new modules directory and then deleted the Modules directory. After that I was able to choose it from the SVN. Thanks for your help.
