Version Control error with Scribite installation

Can anyone help is there an easy fix for this error after installing Scribite 4.2 "Smarty error: [in scribite_admin_modifyconfig.htm line 1]: [plugin] unknown tag - 'versioncheck' (core.load_plugins.php, line 118) (Check file '/var/www/vhosts/bestchoicehib.com/httpdocs/includes/classes/Smarty/Smarty.class.php' at line 1093.) "

That means a Smarty plugin named "versioncheck" is missing from the module. -

After looking at the module description page here:

The plugin "versioncheck" was removed in version 4.1, so you should update your template to reflect that change. You can just delete the line of code in the template that references the "versionchck" plugin. If you are using template override (meaning, you have your own custom template in the "/config/templates" directory, then it is likely you need to update your modified template to the latest version used in the module release. If you are not using template override, then please report this error as a bug, since the plugin reference should not be in the module release anymore.
