Hi everyone
I'm here to report a huge bug that I found in version 1.2.4, I have a site since Postnuke with almost 40.000 users, in the latest upgrade, done by Hammerhead (know from the forums), I've discover the following bug:
Users that have = # or other type of "strange" character in their nick can't log in, I have to remove that and then they can. This is a big problem.
I use Dizkus 3.1 integrated with Zikula.
I hope I've helped you guys, If I found more I will say to you.
Note: I want to leave a suggestion, forums, online communities, are part of a moder site, it's absolutely necessary now a days, you guys should consider the possibility of including Dizkus in the core release of Zikula. Just a suggestion.
Keep up the good work.

Another one that I forgot to mention, when the database was converted from Zikula 1.2.x to 1.2.4 some type of corruption occurred, instead of "?" "ç" and "´`" it shows ?. -

This bug has already been fixed in the current development code.

Please make sure that only only your table but your database itself has been set to a UTF-8 collation. In my experience, this solves this issue ...

Hi,
this error is known already and can be confirmed for 1.2.3, too. (for ü.ä.@ and so on...).
The solution I choosed is switching to login mode with email address instead of username.

Thanks for the answer guys, I'm not sure if I want people to login with email instead of nick, but I will consider that option.
Regarding the database I'm gonna check that, thanks!
Note: if I see more bugs I will warn you guys. -

Can you give me the link to that file? Can I replace it directly in my Zikula 1.2.4?
Thanks. -

I think this works (Hammerhead did the job).

I think the ticket that was referred to is here.
It is unlikely that only one file changed. You can either try a development build of 1.2.5 (http://ci.zikula.org/job/Zikula-1.2.5/), or wait till either 1.2.5 or 1.3 is released. -

Ah I see, thanks.
In the past we could download individual files, that's why I ask. -

you can still download individual files. But the fix may involve more than one file. As dits said, just download the dev of 1.2.5. if you want the changed files, you can do a diff or something, or just overwrite the whole thing. -

I don't know which files solve that problem and I'm not overwriting the all thing because i don't have the necessary skills if something bad happens. Thanks.
