I am going to begin putting together an iPhone (and shortly thereafter, a Droid) library of code for allowing apps to login and interact with Zikula based websites. I am wondering, has anyone already done this somewhat? I would GLADLY avoid re-inventing the wheel if someone's already got this figured.
Anyone with experience at this is also welcome to chime in here. I am really looking for any advice at all. My most complicated experience with Zikula and programming combined was an AMFPHP Flash Module I designed years ago for a couple apps that got lost on a hard-drive failure. But it allowed Zikula and Flash to communicate... I have NO experience with making a non-web-based app that connects to the web, this'll all be new ground for me.

I think we should all breathe a collective sigh of relief that I got here in time...

I would look at github, sourceforge, etc for preexisting PHP libs that you could utilize for Ajax-type interactions between the mobile device and a webserver. I'm sure you're not the first.
