Mediashare permissions  Bottom

  • Hi all.

    I wish that a group of Zikula can add media, albums, etc (how if the group was admin). So, i created a group in Zikula "GAdmins", and add permissions in all the galleries in Mediashare admin.
    The users can see the button "Edit", but when they push the button, the module say: "You do not have access to this feature".

    I have try add permission in the core of zikula for this group, so

    Quote

    Group Component Instance Permission
    GAdmins mediashare:: .* Administrar
    Users mediashare:: .* edit
    All groups mediashare:: .* read

    But it doesnt work.

    Could you help me?
  • Hello,

    Do you check order of the Mediashare permission with others ?
    Maybe you have a lower permission for "All user" and "All instance" above.

    Do you add users to the new group GAdmins ?

    If you want that standard users only see, it seems that you must set permission to :

    Group Component Instance Permission
    GaAmins mediashare:: .* edit
    All groups mediashare:: .* read

    regards
    Garou
  • Hi and thanks for your interest.

    I have users under the group GAdmins, and i tried this permission too, but it is not working.

    Lower permission? No, i have not lower permissions for the module in zikula. And in Mediashare admin, the group GAdmins have permissions for all in every gallery.

    Thanks.
  • Re,

    By "lower permission" i want to say that you don't have a permission like :

    Quote

    All Groups .* .* comment
    Members .* .* comment

    that it is upper in the "permission list"?
    Zikula applies permission from top to bottom, the order is important.

    regards
    Garou

    Ps : soory for my english :)
  • Hi garu and thanks for you response.

    My "lower permissions" are:

    "user not register" .* .* Read

    Thanks.
  • Hello,

    i didn't explain well.
    Can you copy and past all your permissions' table ?

    Regards
    Garou
  • This reminds me an old thread where permissions problems were reported about Mediashare. Garou, do you have a site with users enabled to upload media and create albums on Mediashare, working with EDIT access, or ADD/ADMIN?

    Greetings

  • Hello,

    @nestormateo
    i had a problem with fresh install of Mediashare 4.0 on zikula 1.2.2. No access to admin bouton in root album.
    see ticket http://code.zikula.o…ediashare/ticket/98 on Cozi.
    I found a workaround.
    1- install Mediashare 4.0 on my zikula 1.2.2 production website
    2-install a temporary zikula website (lower version, i don't remember version maybe 1.x)
    3-install Mediashare 4.0 on it, an create one album with one picture
    4-upgrade my temporary zikula website to zikula 1.2.2
    5-delete all Mediashare's table from database of my production website
    6-import with an mySQL tool, the Mediashare's table from my temporary website
    i upgrade zikula to 1.2.4 and my Mediashare still working.

    @krator
    Nestormateo remember me that Mediashare have its proper permission system.
    With an admin account, take a look to the root album and clic on "Edit" button.
    See after the "acces/invitations" link.

    In my website i have a special group "adherents" (see below), i click once to give us good permission in Mediashare.
    It work for us.
    when i come back to Mediashare settings, it seems to be unchecked, but still work.

    It's sad that Mediashare isn't really maintained because it's a great galery module...

    Regards
    Garou
  • Yes, i know this and the problem does not here.

    Now, Mediashare is working fine with my group GAdmins. The problem is in the permissions of zikula (core). In a upper position, the group can edit without problems. I am a noob with the permissions.

    Thanks for all!
