Well, to live without Ajax nowadays, and with the reported issues (a selector with more than 1000 elements -pubs-), is weird to me, but well, we can add the fallback later as Drak said, and as an optional argument of the relation selector plugin.
I have to go to another city to finish a tramit, and will back to this on the night.

I agree, but I am still in a frame of mind where I expect javascript/css to break in new browser versions. Because of that, I always do the plain HTML approach first and then do the Ajax, so that when it breaks unexpectedly, I can still get done what I need to get done.
Yes, I am a bit of a luddite. But I am going to the jQuery conference in Boston next month. :) -

Can there be some focus put on having a version that with both install and work?
The currently available dev version does not work and has been that way for quite some time.
This is a massive roadblock and is starting to become a problem.
please? -

Drak had a brillant idea:
I'll do a fork of Clip and commit my advances there.
I have concerns polluting the log of the project, so, the relations work has remained locally only. But Darryl, as said, renaming the "Clip" folder to "PageMaster" doesn't work on 1.3??

Didn't work for me when I tried it but that was a while back.
I've tried since the last commit indicated, and didn't work.

Uh
I figured out the issues after have to reinstall my 1.3 local copy.
I just commited the Installer fixes and removed the upgrade support for versions previous than 0.4.x. The finalization of the relations stuff is not commited yet, I'm still adjusting details locally.
Sorry the misunderstanding, my brain got bloated recently with the best way to implement this stuff. The overheat is now solved
Edit: fixing details to get pubtypes/fields working with Doctrine.

Ok
I see the basic stuff working adequately now with a fresh install. The tables are now updated automatically when creating the pubtype and pubfields. There are some visible improvements, but mostly of them are on the code
There's a preliminar "Relations management" screen, I want to hear opinions about this way to manage Relations. I'll see if there's need to have some minor additional configuration for a relation, like load all the related pubs on list/view or not to do it, etc.
Greetings

Ok
finally after figure out lots of details with the Ajax Autocompleter, Doctrine, etc.
Today is THE day.
Today I finally got working all the relation types.
After complete that, I've renamed the code to "Clip" and the GIT code can be used directly.
Download the source and try it.
Check my proposal on the Relations Management screen,
I would like to add some configuration checkboxes for each relation later (like do not load the relation on lists or display, load its workflow states or not, etc.), and also consider some restrictions like do not include already referenced publications in the Autocompleter.
Ok, too much words,
FEEDBACK PLEASE

Well, I'd love to try it, but a fresh installation of Zikula 1.3 build 1917 gives me the WSoD on the home page and the following error in the error_log file:Code
