I'm getting this message
Error! The requested language rss is not available.
when trying to access the rss feed with shorturls activated as directory and with Strip entry point from directory-based URLs
I'm using 1.2.3 with the latest rss theme

Hi
do you have one of the 2.6.x versions of news installed? They come with the rss templates for news. If those templates are missing you have no rss output. You can check this in themes/rss/templates/modules/news. There should be templates there.

It must have been some old templates in the rss theme - uploaded the ones from 2.6.2 and now it works.
