  I recently moved to a new host (HostGator). I had them transfer all of my existing accounts and they all work flawlessy except for one... On this account, News throws an error when trying to save an edited article. The error is

  Code

  exit handler:Exiting after SQL-error

  
  The old host had PHP 5.2.10 installed, but the new one has PHP 5.2.9. Could this be the problem? It's the only connection I can find where one is different than the other.
  
  Also, no PHP errors are being logged, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

  This is a bug. Halbrook and I both dealt with this last month. There is a line of code to fix in news but I dont remember where.

  What's interesting is that I mentioned it to the host when they asked if all my transferred sites were working and this is how they responded:

  Hi, I have updated the tables definition and pnadmin already in my testsetup. I'm working on a release that will also install on zk130. The approver field had indeed (as in the ticket) a not being filled in value. I think that should be fixed now.
  I have added a comment to the ticket, can you guys check if that works before I commit the updates? I don't have cpanel, so I cannot check easily if it works in a real environment. Thanks in advance.
