Looking for a replacement for PNTresMailer  Bottom

  • I have been using PNTresMailer since I launched my site and I am now looking for a new Newsletter Module. I have looked at the actual Newsletter module but, unfortunately, it won't accept content from PagEd.
    Does anyone know of any newsletter modules that would work?

  • Need to start looking to replace pageEd too, don't think it'll work much longer.

  • You might look at these two module projects:
    * newsletter
    * mailz (together with advMailer)

    Edit: sorry, did not see that you are trying to incorporate PagEd. Both solutions contain a plugin system, but I doubt that they are supporting PagEd out of the box.

  • I still want to make an import from PageEd into News, but perhaps also a PageEd into Content might be feasable. eledril Does pageed (100 or 110RC) work in one of the latest versions of Zikula?
    And News supports the mailz newsletter module.

  • Thanks for the input guys.
    Halbrook, I would replace PagEd if I could find a module that would do the same thing.
    Guite, I did check and neither use PagEd.
    espaan, I'm using PagEd 1.00 (I thought I was using 1.10RC) with Zikula 1.1.2. It doesn't work on newer versions of Zikula.

    That's what he was saying, you'll need to look at the plugins, and write one, or see if someone can do so, it's probably going to be hard to find someone that uses it and codes also, but someone may be able to. And I think I looked at your site and didn't really see any solid reason that you couldn't move to a combo of News & Content and a couple other modules that do exist.

  • I'm going to start looking into it and see what I can come up with. I might even be able to do something that I've wanted to do for a while, separate the articles into blocks on the home page based on the category.

    Thanks for all your help.

    On a side note, I have launched NorthumberlandView.ca's Big Hairy Challenge. It's a fundraiser for four different charities in Northumberland County. You can check out http://www.northumberlandview.ca/hairy for more information and to donate.

  • I am using PagEd 110 with Zikula 1.1.2 at my site which is fitness.is. It is working in combination with Scribite, but search is disabled.
    The only reason for not switching to Content or News is the need for some import method of the hundreds or thousands of articles in various categories. I have not visited zikula.org for a few months and was wondering if there have been any developments in this matter?

    I would appreciate it if it was possible to export all the articles from PagEd to Content for example.
  • Did you have a look at MUTransport ?

  • No, not yet. Is there a good reason to think it will work for PagEd > Content?
    I have never tried it, but I read a thread here where it was being used, but it was not possible to judge from the end of the thread if it was the solution.
  • It was also developed for that ! But it cannot transport ( export ) the categories !
    And I hope to publish a next version in a few weeks with some improvements icon_rolleyes !

  • Thatīs great. I will probably wait until itīs possible to export everything. Hope you have good luck with the next version. I really need to update my sites in January.
  • Thanks; but don't wait for a posibility to transport the categories; that will not be possible anytime ! icon_rolleyes
