So, I'm setting up a bunch of pages in content, and one of the things I particularly like is the categorization, partially because it allows me to create a page with a category menu which lists all pertinent pages/articles/whatever. As I add things, I am finding that some content could be listed under more than one category, and as a result, I'm kinda intrigued by the "secondary categories" functionality that the module seems to promise.
My problem, as is so often the case (as I always wanna mention, I'm not good at the programming side of things) is that I can't seem to make it work...
It seems like the idea of "secondary categories" is that things could be listed in a second category in addition to their main abode. However, if I create a category list page, the pages assigned as a secondary category do not seem to show up? Am I missing something entirely (fairly likely), am I missing something with regards to setting things up (moderately likely), or is there an actual issue with this particular module (less likely, but I'm gonna include it anyway)?
As always, I appreciate any offered wise words for wisdom/guidance/what have ye...
Thanks,
-Bil

Welcome to the club... I have run into similar problems, and what I was told so far is that the code for processing what documents should be listed in a category has to be included into each module itself. That means, each module may (and does) behave differently. My problem for example is with documents in subcategories that do not get listed under their parent category.
You can try to file a bug report or feature request at the Cozi - or stay silent, because some people seem to be a bit sensitive towards user voices currently...

Interestingly, I haven't run across that... but then, the only module I've got displaying category lists is Content, so that could very well be the difference. It may not be feasible for your setup to do it that way, but if you can, it could possibly alleviate the problem you mentioned.
What I'm talking about is Content's option to assign a secondary category to a given item. Being able to have things crosslisted like that would be spectacular, and if I can make it work I will be a happy, happy guy. By default, when something doesn't work, my first guess is that I'm missing something - that being the case, I'd like to check in with the collective wisdom here on the forum before I start filing bug reports... -

I was told that the News module has the best implementation. Initially I too had liked the idea of being able to use multiple categories instead of just one topic, but unfortunately this idea was not fully implemented, so the safest thing is to stick to a flat list of categories and apply just one. This way you are back to topics, but it should work everywhere...

That's good to know for when I expand my setup. But for now, I'd really love to keep this thread specific to the secondary category thingie, in hopes that someone may have an answer...
