Is there anyway to override the use of my Gravatar in Dizkus? I know I could edit the templates to remove it, but I don't really want to do that, I just want Dizkus to use my assigned avatar on a site I'm working on instead of my Gravatar.

I'm not a fan of the new default use of Gravatar either. It might be ok if it was used to manage avatars, like on Wordpress where you can upload and manage your Gravatar right from Wordpress without visiting the Gravatar site.
Most users are just going to be unaware of what Gravatar even is, why are we advertising them?

So I take it, this is a job for a ticket, there's no way to over ride it in settings?

I ran into this here on this site the other night. the issue is I think in the avatar module not having the option. There is a use my Gravatar link, but no stop using my Gravatar link or checkbox to reset the selections back to all available options. Central avatar management is is great, but i think you hit on the one defect in it at the moment. -

I don't think it's in the Avatar module, because I can set my avatar there and it uses it everywhere but the forums on the site I'm testing.

At least the PNphpBB2 module does give you the option to control the usage of Gravatars, because it come with it own (extended) user profile.
IMHO a central default profile module should give this option, too.

Chris

Again, I think it's a coding error in Dizkus, as the selected avatar on a new site over-rides my Gravatar everywhere except Dizkus. It looks like it's meant to use it in absence of a set avatar, but something is wrong in the code. IMHO the Gravatar should only be used in absence of any other avatar system.
