I upgraded one of my sites from 1.1.0 to 1.2.1. So far the only problem I have run into is that as my site runs icelandic and uses áÃæðþö, the header of the site doesn´t display these characters correctly. The text in all news-articles is ok. It is only the text with the name of my site and the text which is related to the theme which is incorrect. I suspect that I need to change character encoding in the master.html document. I can´t find any documentation about that. I have been using ISO-8859-1.
Any ideas on how to show the special characters?

You could download Notepad++ for your OS and convert the file manually, and upload it back again.
However, since it's advisable that all your files are UTF-8 ancoded, that's documented at "Charset problems after upgrade".
Of course, the iconv-program needs to be installed at your (*nix-based) server environment, and you need shell access to your server.
