I wanted to set up some picture galleries on my web site that can be viewed without the visitor becoming a user and logging on.
If I log out and try to view the akbums I get a message saying I don't have access rights.
I checked out the access section of the module and it seems that you have to be a registered user to see the albums.
Can anyone help please?

You don't have to fiddle around with PHP at all...
It's a matter of permissions:
Go to: Users > Permissions and add the "All groups - mediashare:: - .* - read" permission.
Then in the Mediashare settings: Mediashare > Browse > Edit > Access you can give access to everybody to view the album (I think it's the standard setting).

Hi ya
Thanks for the help again. I've tried what you suggest with the permissions but it's still not working. I'm trying to get the albums to be visible to anyone who has not logged in. Effectively, non users.
What the document you 1st suggested seems to be saying is that you need to use a workround because of the zikula security. Any other suggestions please or could I still be doing something wrong. I've got the settings exactly as you say. I think the problems still exists as I'm wanting the albums to show when a person isn't logged in and therefore can't be identified as a user.
Thanks

Try changing the permission to "Unregistered - mediashare:: - .* - read"

The first message is: It is possible (becaue I use it)
The permissions are a tricky thing. They have a lot of power and possibilities but you have to learn, how to use it. To give you the right support please post the complete permissions of your site. The order of the permissions is the secret
