Content 3.1 on Zikila 1.2.0 green Edit marble  Bottom

  • Hello to you all,

I recently upgrades from Zikula 1.2.0 RC 3 to 1.2.0. Now I try to edit some pages (made with the Content modeule and OpenWYSIWYG).

The green "Edit marble" shows up at the top of the page. When I click on it, noting happens...there used to be a small menu there!

I read that the content module 3.1.0 requires Zikula 1.2.1 but I am reluctant to upgrade.

    I have caching (pnrender) off.
    I turned theme caching off.

    Thanks,
    G.C.
  • Well, if you're using 3.1 then you need to use 1.2.1 (which upgrades from 1.2 fine, I'm using it on several sites with no problems). Otherwise you need to scale back.
That said, look and see if the menu is loading further down the page. I've got something in one of my themes that I've got to figure out, but its causing the menu to be out of position.

  • The Content Edit marble issue was solved!

Seems javascript was not working properly througout the whole site. Traced it back to the combine / minify javascript checkboxes in theme caching settings. Emptied all caches, refreshed the page, and bingo, javascript working again!
Anyway, I'm still considering to upgrade to 1.2.1 (still a release candidate 1.2.1rc2 now I think?).

I now have pnrender turned off and theme chacing turned on for most modules. (I have mgallery2 that needs pnrender cache off).
I am wondering if it's possible to use pnrender exept for certain modules also? I read on this forum that many favour pnrender.
  • Yes, I've created a ticket today because of this problem: http://code.zikula.org/core/ticket/1736
