BTNaturalist Theme -- Admin Message shows in all pages  Bottom

  • I'm using this theme for a site and the admin message shows in all pages. Would anyone know how to fix this?

    Site: http://www.nbpo.ca

I got the theme from here: http://www.blanktheme.org/gallery/page/2/

  • Hi,

how would you like it "fixed"? Do you have the adminmessage block active? Usually it is defined as a center block. You can define what modules a block is shown with the advanced block options when you edit the block.

  • Thanks for the answer.

I have tagged the "News" module. Is there a way to have the amin message show only on the "Home" page? It works fine as is but when I choose my "News" button, the admin button shows and takes up unnecessary space.

I am also thinking that seeing as the "Home" button is the kind of button that one is most likely to encounter on most websites, would it make sense to add the "Home" tag option in the advanced block options just for ease of use?
  • It's true Marc
we need a homepage special management on blocks and probably on other areas, and treat it like another module (could be the best way to handle it), a task for 1.3

ATM, BlankTheme handles those as zones.
There's a zone to disable the center blocks by default: nc.

You must understand the zones concept first, please read this: Layout Docs

So, you'll see the possible layouts for all the sections. If you want the center blocks only in the homepage, add the nc zone for all the templates layouts (master.htm, news.htm, pages.htm) except the homepage (home.htm). That's the default logic in the current BlankTheme SVN, I wonder why BTNaturalist doesn't behave in that way.

    Greetings
