I believe that the only non-abandoned forum for Zikula is Dizkus, try that. -

Being just the messenger: I have read a lot of announcements on these forums saying PNphpBB2 is not abandoned. Chris is working on a zikula-ready version of phpBB3 called Zafenio.
I do remember him saying that PNphpBB2 only works correctly on migrated sites (where PNphpBB2 was installed on PN and migrated to Zikula), because the installer is not (yet) functional.
Please refer to the zafenio.com forums

If it walks like a dead duck and talks like a dead duck, it's probably a dead duck. Or in this case, a dead project.
Chris has shown to be an unreliable person at best.
I would use Dizkus. -

This was not a poll for your personal opinion on forum modules, but a support question. Please stay away from questions you are not able to answer seriously.

Same for you, dude. If you do not know a solution, do not post. Actually you have been the very person asking for the code of conduct in our forums here, by the way, which you just now did not follow again(!). The "unreliable person at best" is the one who implemented and runs our Cozi, the development platform we all rely on, and besides works on Zafenio and Wikula, both very popular modules.
@shoshia: Please see Teb's answer, you are however very much welcome to get additional help at the Zafenio support forums.
Greetings,
Chris

Well then I suppose we can expect you to stop posting answers like "Yes" with no other input when a user asks for help. A rocket scientist such as yourself should be able to see that the intent from users is to receive a valuable answer.
As for Steven's response, it is a very valid solution as Dizkus seems to be the only viable, working and supported forum module for Zikula at the moment. -

I believe that shoshia needs something that works right now. Any module that doesn't exist in a working form when needed, is useless to the person who needs it.

I pointed shoshia to the only working forum module for Zikula that I know of. Is there another working forum module for Zikula? If so, please post a link here so shoshia and others can download the module.
Also, I think it would be best if you read posts before responding to them so you can submit useful replies. Getting angry and acting like a spaz doesn't help anyone in this *support* forum. -

Dizkus is a fine forum module I use and recommend myself often. However, as Teb already pointed out, recent PNphpBB2 does work fine on Zikula. It is true that the installer is not yet adapted to finish the installation on fresh Zikula (the module needs manual activation in the database), but this is work in progress. More info here.
Bashing other people's hard work in FOSS projects is the most unproductive one could do. The big user base of PNphpBB2 deserves to be treated friendly.
Personal attacks are not just Bad Behaviour, but additionally not permitted in this forum, by the way.
Greetings,
Chris

Yes, no problem. At cozi/dizkus/wiki: Permissions, example 1 shows how a category and/or forum can be hidden from certain groups.

I have spent many hours trying out PNphpBB2-i-patch4, on three different servers both as a new installation and as an upgrade from PNphpBB2-i-patch3, work with zukila 1.0.0 and 1.1.1
I won't go into the errors and blank pages but it doesn't work, PNphpBB2-i-patch3 does work with zukila 1.0.0. have not tried it with zukula 1.1.1 yet but will do for interest sake.
The only reason I was going for an upgrade was because the date stamp on PNphpBB2-i-patch3 is very unreliable and I thought an upgrade might fix it.
So if anyone can tell me how to fix the date stamp on PNphpBB2-i-patch3 that would suit me.
I really like PNphpBB2-i-patch3 I think it works really well for me it just the date stamp other that that it gets full marks and must have taken a lot of work to develope, thanks for that. -

The date stamp issue is reported and discussed already at the Zafenio bug tracker here, and working simple solution can be found there.

Chris
