  I just wrote an article about the actual development of the mailer 2.0 module and the mailz module that is still under construction but will be released soon.

  This is an information for interested people to give constructive feedback and a call for module developers for content plugins (news, calendars, ...) to write and provide own mailz plugins with their next module releases to build a powerfull and easy-to-use newsletter and mailing tool for our endusers.

  Interesting. I would be happy to write a plugin for News. What is the best example to look at for a plugin for mailz?
  
  BTW Is there also some more info about the new Mailer module already? In News there is a ticket about notification via EMail of new pending review news items.

  You can use the sendmail function as it was used before - just add an argument "priority" with 1 for high to the function call if you want this email to be delivered faster.

  Interesting, indeed. For my needs especially because of user based composition of newsletters. Will there be plugins for Pagesetter and pagemaster, soon? (unfortunately I am not able to program them myself).

  You will have to ask the module developer or the community for these plugins. Mailz will just provide the interface - the plugins have to be provided by the module developers

  This.... could be a godsend for me. I have one project with substantial "newsletter" requirements and I promise you it will give Mailz a workout...

  Hi
  what is the news on this new Mailer and mailz modules? I can remember some discussion in the zk-discussion list, but not the outcome I was looking at News tickets and there is still the "make a plug for mailz" ticket, but then the module should be there of course

  The modules are available at zk extension DB with the names advMailer and mailz
