  • Hi

I must be complete stupid... I looked for extensions/modules ... found one... could not find a "no needle id" button but and button to "add to my download package. Happy as I am I added it thinking I can then access my package and download it from there ... hehe ... still can't see/find any download button.

Please tell me that I am blind and where I can feel that magic button? icon_eek

    Cheers
  • When you go to Addons in the top toolbar.
Then you can select extensions by "put into my package", once you have 1 or more extensions in your package you will see Download in the top right part. Then it should be clear from there.

  • Hello Espaan

    Thanks for your reply.

I figured it out but... maybe it's just me or may there be room for better? icon_cool ?

When adding something to the package and clicking on download I read the heading "Your package selection in the overview" but from there I need then to actually click on another sub-heading "View details of your selection".

By doing so, another window opens and then an "OPTION" menu in the right column gives me a "Quick Download" button to download this one selection.... WOW, what a wearing process.

It would be nice to have just one button that would either download the entire package (after going through the process of adding it to the package) or even a download button at the extension/module already (no need to add to the package)

I also learned, adding some extensions to the package without downloading, logging out and coming back later again... the package has been emptied! ??

    Just a thought ... icon_wink

    Cheers
  • For me the package is kept after closing the browser. Loggin out I havent tried.
The process might need some streamlining icon_smile But it works great for selecting a few modules, a core, some themes and the languages to go with it.
Try that with individual downloads icon_smile

  • Your current package is only saved in your session. But you can save your packages and load them again whenever you want.

  • There is a Quick Download link on every extension now so if you want to, you can simply download a particular module/theme/whatever.
  • I think it would be nice if the quick download used the original file name. That would help with my local filing system :)

    +1 If this is possible.
  • Something like module_modulename_version.zip (example: module_formicula_1-1-2.zip) ?

  • That would be awesome to me..
  • That would be awesome Axel. :) Another thing that may be better with the Wizard is presenting categories of modules (calendar, profile, messaging, etc) rather than an overwhelming list of everything. Also, I think using crpTag and having it useable with the Themes may be a good idea too. That way a theme could be tagged with helpful information to make it easier to find some things.

That would be as sweet as a jug of sun tea on a hot summer day, while sitting with your girl on a porch swing.
  • +1 for that...

On the other hand, on the download dialog I rename it to what I want... however, it would make life easier for 4 seconds yes LOL

  • Implemented. Please test.
