The Wiki on this appears to be out of date so I'm not sure if this is still possible.
I have a clean install on a test server of 1.1.2 and am trying to replicate the behaviour of my 7.6.4 installation whereby the block positions are differant according which module is currently active eg Current home page at http://www.bolstridge.co.uk/genealogy clicking any Genealogy Database link or side block to select the TNG module moves all active blocks to the left column see http://www.bolstridg…g&file=surnames-all
Is this still possible - if so where do I find the interface.

You can make module specific themes. I believe the location to place them in is:
/themes/YourTheme/templates/modules/YourModule.htm
Just copy your master and change the theme block locations as you want to by editing the file.
I think.
You may also need to edit the configuration.ini
I think. -

You can also go to the Blocks module in Admin, edit the block in question, click the "Click to show/hide advanced block placement options" link, then select the modules you want the block to show for, then click Update to save your settings for that block. Repeat for other blocks. -
