I'm guessing here, but you'll probably need to contact your hosting provider and ask them to rebuild PHP with the token function. -

You may be able to create an override with an htaccess file.
Your Server has the function with PHP version 5.2.10.
You can leave the installation process as is and keep trying it again and again while you configure the override with htaccess.
See:
http://www.askapache.com/php/custom-phpini-tips-and-tricks.html
You may need to find the location of the php.ini file.
What host are you using?
Can you get PHP info from the Control Panel?
Without seeing you host or server configuration you will be trying a little trial and error attempting get it up and running.
