[solved] Dizkus permission help requested  Bottom

  • I'm having some trouble getting permissions to work with Dizkus.

    The documentation doesn't seem to go into much detail on permissions, but it gives a few examples for me to try to figure it out and apparently I'm not figuring it out.
    http://code.zikula.org/dizkus/wiki/documentation

    This is what I want to do. I have an "Administrators" category (1) and an "Administrators" forum (1). Ideally I do not even want any non-admin to even see the category (is that possible?) but at the very least not be able to access it.

    I setup the following in my Permission module:

    "All Groups" "Dizkus::" "1:1:" "None"

    But guests are still able to access the category and forum and read it. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
  • where is that permission entry in your list of permissions? maybe give the whole scheme here.
  • This was the first time I really needed to work with permissions in Zikula. So I didn't even think about the order of the permissions being an issue.

    But sure enough, I started moving the permission I created up the list and now it works and it hides the category just like I wanted. Looks great. Thanks for your help!
