20 Promising Open Source PHP Content Management Systems(CMS)  Bottom

  • It would've been nice to see Zikula on this list. Well, for your reference: http://www.webdesign…agement-systemscms/
  • "Symphony is a CMS that uses XML/XSLT as its templating language. Symphony lets you customize anything you like, from the website?s URL structure to your publishing environment. For a non programmer, this CMS might be complicated to learn."

Wrong, wrong, wrong, I just made a medium size project with it. It do not use XML/XSLT as a template language, neighter it's a CMS, it's a "real" programming framework.
So how reliable is this article?
  • I added a comment with Zikula.
The list is not very thorough indeed icon_biggrin And promising sounds to me like new kids on the block, why put mambo, wordpress and joomla in there, since they are not promising, but already big icon_wink

I'm surprised there hasn't been some flak thrown here about Zikula not being a CMS anymore.
  • I meant symFony, how confusing is that?
  • Ok, let's take a step back and forget about how illogical and wrong the list is, since that isn't the point. These lists are usually stupid and full of holes, so there's no news there.

My point was that Zikula isn't on the radar of people who write stupid lists like this. What can we do to raise the altitude of Zikula.

There should be someone who takes it upon themselves to swing the Zikula flag. And no, I'm not volunteering.

This list is based on users active over the last 60 minutes.
