Well, until the day comes I can get the site migrated to Zikula, if that day ever comes, I have to work with .764. I have a basic theme at appleproaudio.com, and I forget what I hacked it together from, but it was a basic theme that used to come with Xanthia if I'm not mistaken.
What I want to do is place an image behind the site, a background image, so that the white areas of the site are framed by this image in the background, but I can't figure out where to do this in the theme. I've tried placing the image in the theme.htm file, but it doesn't see to go where I want, only occasionally popping up as a page loads, which is placing it behind the site content, but not on the overall background so it appears as the background image with the content in white over it.
Any suggestions on which file to edit, what tag to use and where to place the tag to do this?

FYI, after hours dinking around with both the style.css and the theme.htm file, I got it sort out. Man, this crap is tricky when you're just kind of guessing as you go along and have no solid foundation in the design and programming field. :)

OK, I'm almost 100% where I want to be, but if anyone can point me to where I need to go to trim down the overall size to fit the width of the top image, please let me know. The little white poking out won't kill me, but the OCD in me is letting it bug me something fierce. After sorting the rest of this out, this one last bit is bugging me. I'd love to have the whole thing uniform to the size of the image on top, but so far in theme.htm and my style.css I can't see to sort that last bit out. :)

OK, persistence pulled me through. These dang theme.htm files put things in order that don't seem logical when you're a hunt and peck hacking hack like me, so its through a lot of trial and error I finally found out how to rid the theme of some border images that were wrecking my new theme idea. I think it came out good. Thanks for giving me a place to vent!
