This inability to use all the cool Web2.0-embed-stuff is a big deficit in Zikula. But AFAIK HTMLPurifier, introduced in Zikula 1.3 (due Feb/Mar 2010) is able to allow specific exceptions.

Ideally, a YouTube plugin for Scribite would be awesome!
That's just the thing, also a bbcode [youtube] button for Dizkuz would be a big improvement for the forum module.

Hmm, with the filter in place, would a bbcode entry be filtered out as well, or would that give us a way around it.
There is youtube functionality in the ImageManager plugin in the main Xinha SVN. I replaced the ImageManager plugin that ships with Scriibte's Xinha with it, but I haven't had a chance to process the instructions fully, looks like there's a bit of code that has to be added to the displaying page to show the actual video, all the plugin does at the moment is let you show the static image that YouTube provides.
