  If I wanted to have a static home page and not select a startup module, where do I tell Zikula what page to load?

  YOu could probably use the Pages module to do that. Create the page in Pages, then change the setting in the Settings mod to point to the appropriate page.

  I tried the Pages Module, but it puts the creation date and the last modified date at the top of the page. All I want to do is put up a page that describes our product and has a picture. I have not figured out how to do that. I just need a plain web page in the core of the template. I tried modifying the theme but then the core displays all of that information on every page. I just want a static home page. Can Zikula do that?

  I see that each page that you define has options to show the statistics, etc. I was able to suppress the extra information. Thanks.

  you could also use template overrides to modify the content from Pages if necessary.
