I am using The Solution Theme. I would like to show the Administrative Messages and News articles on the default Home page. I have not figured out how to show both. When I select News as the default startup page, that's all I get. I would like the administrative messages to appear first, then underneath that, the News articles. Is there a way to do that? -

Check your theme home.htm template and make sure that the 'centerblock' tag is called above the 'maincontent' tag. If so, then create a new block containing your admin messages and place it in the centerblock and you should be good. -

you can modify your master.htm template then. you can also configure a theme to use a home.htm template if you want your home page to be different than the rest of your general pages.
