  Hello,
  
  I am planning to move from postnuke to zikula, only issue is i want to keep only users and news articles from the past 6 years as my old DB is corrupted and the errors cannot be found. Modules such as Pagesetter and weather wont work and when i try to install them it returns a Blank Page and i have to restore my website from old backups. My postnuke website was defaced a couple of times too and comments on my website are mostly spams. So, i want the news articles minus the comments.. and if possible i want the module PNjokes along with PN-copilot on my zikula portal. How do i go at it? a fresh install or is there other method to move to zikula from postnuke? Postnuke version is 7.6.4.

  A corrupt database is something else than some corrupt tables. Specially if these tables are not going to be used in your new system.
  
  I would suggest to make a copy of your current site, and slim that one down by removing all unused third party modules. Leave the core .764 modules in there (allthough you are not going to use them, they might be used during the migration process). You could also try and analyze / repair the tables in your copied database with (for example) phpMyAdmin.
  
  Then you can run your first upgrade test-run on this smaller version of your site by using the Migration Distribution which is available at the Cozi core downloads section.
  
  Not quitre sure if pnJokes or pnCopilot work on Zikula, but you might just try.

  Then - you need to download the upgrade distribution
  
  there are also some changes that should be made in that before running it. There are a couple threads on that here, but I can't remember where. If I have time in the next few days I'll see if I can help find them, but you can look too.

  I have been removing almost all third party modules and i have back ups of my website now. Will try the upgrade very soon and keep you posted of the process. I just think there is so much to do with right now with phpMyAdmin too. Admin_Message returns a Blank Page now when i click on the link!

  Good luck and make sure that you write down what needs to be done and check that and make some backups along the way. It always convenient to have dbase backups of various stages in the upgrade.

  And the upgrade halts .. Please help. I am not very good with phpMyAdmin but from my cpanel i checked my DB and there is no error. I tried fix DB it works okay.

  reinstall your backup. make sure you have all the legacy modules enabled before proceeding. try again.

  I had all the modules that were listed.. in the DOCS.
  
  Should i reinstall my wesbite or my DB??
  
  Is there no otherway to fix the error? It took me a lot of time removing Modules/deleting/uploading files.. if there is anyway i can save that time .. do let me know.

  your DB will be corrupted and unusable. You will need to replace the DB.
  
  the site's files should have all been removed in the upgrade process according to the DOCS. You put in the new files only.
  
  if possible, upload the tarball and decompress on the server instead of uploading individual files. it is more reliable.

  I got the FAQ thing fixed .. i was browsing the forum and i found a problem similar to mine in this link ==> http://community.zikula.org/module-Forum-viewtopic-topic-55762.htm
  
  But now another problem haunts me, i had two administrator account and i cannot log into my site using them. I could yesterday and and today .. it was after my FAQ got updated i tried the upgrade process from the start and i am locked out. How do i log in??

  I tried zrc.php.. which returns a Blank Page.. psak.php returns an error .. how do i log in and upgrade?? or reset my Admin password??

  can anyone login? can you create a new account and login? If no, your upgrade was likely incomplete.

  ZRC does not yet work on php5 environments. You could try to apply some changes to the zrc.php file, which can be found in ticket 973.

  I did the modifications with ZRC but i am not getting what i need with ZRC ...
