Download Module  Bottom

  • I dont seem to have a download module in my core installation and in my upgrade installation. I may be looking in the wrong place. How can I verify that I have this feature? In postnuke we had Links and Downloads and these features may have been renamed in Zikula. I recently converted to Zikula.
  • I depends on which distro you downloaded. If it is there, it would be in your modules folder. In addition, it may be there, just inactiv e at the moment because of the upgrade. Check you Modules module listing.
  • As advised in your topic Upgrading to Zikula, just use the Migration (upgrade) distribution. The Downloads and Web_Links modules (amongst others) are also included in there. Basically, everything from a default PostNuke .764 installation would have been upgraded and included in that distribution.

  • The Download module was present in the upgrade but not working correctly. The upgrade script did not alter the table format as required for Zikula. I had to delete the download series of tables and let pninit.php rebuild the tables. The download module was not present in the core package. Thank you for your reply. I've got my site mostly working now. Still getting an error message about an email problem right after I add a new download record. I tested plain email and it works so I don't know where the error is coming from.

The download module was not present in the core package.

Downloads is not a core module. hence, not in the core package.
  • The reason I thought that it should be included was because Download was mentioned on this page http://zikula.org/CMS/Features as an included feature. I did find the 3rd party module and have it installed now. The Feature list was not clear.
  • what version of Downloads are you using?? are you having issues with files over 10 mb or so being corrupt in downloading?? i get this in my apache error logs.

"File does not exist: /var/www/undefinedjavascript, referer: http://dweb.domain.com/index.php?module=Downloads&func=sublevel&cid=17&start=0"

This may be why files over 10mb get messed up but im not sure.
