  Reviewing you code, without testing myself, it looks okay, assuming your table is structured okay, doe s the output get to the browser (view source)? I can now see it is copy-paste-modify job (my favorite technique).

  Asfaras pndebug, it is a plugin to view available vars in the templates. See the wiki.u
  
  Anyways, I think you may have a larger table issue. Review the output (validate).

  at the bottom of the template and then you get access to all the available variables in a popup window. This can give you a clue on why the variables are not being displayed. You can see if there are menuitems, and if the menuites array has name, URL, title, etc. The code looks ok and it is quite similar to the original extmenu code.
