  I finally gave in and decided to make PostCalendar work for my needs with Zikula. I know others might be interested so I am making it available via SVN only at the Cozi.

  It isn't perfect and I'm sure its not completely functional, but I managed to get most of it to do what I want. Maybe you will find it useful too. I only used it in an UPGRADE (from 764->111) situation, so I have no idea if it installs on a blank Zikula site. For me, this was the one thing holding up my transition to Zikula on my largest site, so I was desperate (the other calendars didn't do what I needed).
  
  I have plans to continue to improve it and make it closer to a true Zikula module, but it may never get there. I guess we'll see. For the moment it works as is (I think )

  You could also try to get your ideas or improvements in one of the Zikula ready calendar modules (e.g. TimeIt resembles PostCalendar a lot - and imports PC just fine - Zikula ready and actively developed). Why focus on the "old beast" postcalendar too much Just a suggestion, of course it's all up to you

  Because the new calendar modules don't completely replace the functionality of PostCalendar.

  That's why I suggested to invest the development time in the new modules, to get the things missing in there
  But of course I understand sticking with PC. When the calendar is a main part of a site you can choose to stick with the older, much more tested/developed, module.
  Just for my info (if you have that overview) what are the things in PC, that are not in for example TimeIt, Eventliner, crpCalendar?

  Each has its issues. One doesn't import from PC, one doesn't start weeks on Sunday, one doesn't have good repeating events, plus other things. Altogether they have the features of PC, but separately they do not.
  
  I considered working on one of the other projects, but couldn't wrap my head around their code (or maybe didn't try hard enough )

  Craigh, thanks alot for your effort. On one of my sites, I upgraded from .764 / PostCalendar 4.0.3 CVS to TimeIt, but at this moment it did not have all the features we had, at least not fully working as yet. So, PostCalendar 5.0.1 was more then welcome. Other then adding an 'id="description"' to the textarea in the form_submit.html template (for scribite support) and changing 'bgcolor=$event.catcolor' in the pc_popup call in the view_month.html template (for a working backgroundcolor on hovering events), everything works fine.
  
  Would you like to see tickets? I could change these minor fixes myself if you grant me access @ Cozi.

  The SVN version does allow you to start on any day you wish, even Tues-Sat. I'm running it on a site right now and it seems to be working as expected. I need to do some template cleaning because I'm not thrilled with the UI for my intended audience, but it's working.

  TimeIt 2.0 will support custom week day start. You can set every day of the week as the start of the week.
  
  If someone finds a feature in PostCalendar that TimeIt doesn't have create a ticket in the TimeIt tracker. This allows me to create a full replacement to PostCalendar.
  
  
  Another question about PostCalendar sharing levels (private, public, global):
  What is the meaning of the sharing level public? When should public events be displayed?
  (Private events are for the creator only. Global events can be seen by everyone.)
