I would like my registered users to add links, but even though they are registered, and I have configured the weblinks module (v.2.0) to allow registered users to add weblinks it returns this message.

Please checkout the userapi.php from the SVN.
There was a little bug inside.

I am not sure where to look and whether this is related to this problem. Could you point me into the right direction? I am not sure where to go for the userapi.php SVN and should I copy this file to my setup? Where would I find userapi.php (which folder)?

Klick here pnuserapi.php
and replace it with the one in your installation.

Thanks for the note. I replaced it in my Web_Links module but it did not make a difference. I removed it and replaced it back with the original. Would you know what the fixes were for that particular file?
Am I the only one who has this problem? Should this be reported as a bug?

Would anyone have any suggestion as to how to fix this? I tried the newer psnuerapi.php but it did not fix the problem. -

You may need to replace the file again, and clear the pnRender/Theme cache and compiled templates.

I am not sure if I am doing this the right way. I replaced the file "userapi.php" from SVN into the Web_Links module. I then logged in at my site as admin and went to pnRender and cleared the "Delete compiled templates" and "Delete cached pages".
It still displays the error message. -

Could anyone having the "weblinks" module confirm whether or not their registered users can insert a weblink on their own? Has anyone used the newer "pnuserapi.php" as suggested and did it work?
Many thanks for any feedback. -

A fix was found by nchenier here: http://community.zikula.org/module-Forum-viewtopic-topic-57219.htm
Here is the fix:
Just to add a little more clarity to the fix:
1. Login to your site as Admin
2. Go to the permissions module
3. Add a permission with the following and filling in the boxes from left to right:
Users Web_Links:: :: Add
4. Save the permission
4. Test the results with a user account.
*** Note that the placement of this permission may make a difference in how your user accounts work. Place this new permission above or below another "User" permission that may already show in your permissions list. ***
Marc.
